ITS Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to strengthen its network team across Belgium and Europe. You will operate, secure and evolve a large-scale network infrastructure spanning office, data centre and cloud environments, with Cisco-based tech across IT and OT domains and a focus on security and continuity.

Responsabilités

Our client, a leading organization operating across several European countries, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to strengthen its network team.

You will contribute to the operation, security and evolution of a large-scale network infrastructure covering office, industrial, data centre and cloud environments. The technical landscape is mainly Cisco-based and combines both IT and OT environments supporting business activities running 24/7.

• Operate, maintain and improve the network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data centre and cloud environments.
• Support network services within both IT and OT environments.
• Prepare and execute network changes with a strong focus on security, availability and operational continuity.
• Participate in infrastructure deployments and modernization projects.
• Contribute to data centre connectivity, cloud integration and WAN transformation initiatives.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless and firewall technologies.
• Support users and technical teams located in Belgium and across Europe.
• Implement network automation using Python and/or Ansible.
• Manage and use network monitoring, NAC, authentication and centralized logging solutions.
• Collaborate closely with other ICT teams while remaining capable of working independently.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, up to one week out of four.

You have the following skills

Key skills

• Senior-level experience in network engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP and MST.
• Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies: ASR, ISR, Catalyst and Nexus.
• Strong experience with Cisco Wireless.
• Experience with Cisco ACI and/or Cisco SD-WAN.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Python and/or Ansible for network automation.
• Good understanding of firewall technologies, particularly Palo Alto and Check Point.
• Experience with monitoring, NAC and centralized logging tools.
• Knowledge of TACACS and RADIUS authentication.
• Experience with Cisco ISE, Zabbix and/or Elastic is an advantage.
• Experience in IT/OT or other business-critical environments is highly valued.
• Background in computer science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French is mandatory, combined with fluent English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Belgian sites and participate in standby duties.
• A valid driving licence and access to a car are required.
• You have at least 6 years of professional experiences in IT
• If you are at least fluent in FR/ENG or NL/ENG it’s best
