Job summary

BYD Europe BeLux seeks a PR Manager BeLux to build and protect the reputation of BYD and DENZA in Belgium and Luxembourg. You are the main media contact for national languages, shaping the local PR roadmap and coordinating with the BYD Europe PR team and local Marketing and Sales teams.

PR Manager BeLux

As PR Manager BeLux, you build and protect the reputation of the BYD and DENZA brands in Belgium and Luxembourg. You are the main contact for the media in both national languages, you shape the local PR roadmap, and you turn product launches, events and brand stories into visibility, in close cooperation with the BYD Europe PR team and our local Marketing and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

• PR strategy: Develop and implement the PR roadmap for BeLux for both brands, aligned with European PR guidelines and our commercial priorities.
• Media relations: Act as primary media contact for Dutch- and French-speaking press (automotive, consumer, business and trade media). Handle proactive and reactive enquiries and secure positive coverage.
• Content and materials: Create press releases, press kits, media briefings and local brand stories, and keep the local press section up to date.
• Launches and media events: Plan and run press conferences, product launches, media test drives and PR events together with the Events and Sales teams, and manage the press car fleet.
• Influencers and stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, opinion leaders and industry and public stakeholders.
• Agency and budget: Manage our PR agency and the PR budget.
• Crisis and reputation management: Set up and run crisis communication protocols, and monitor media coverage and public opinion.
• Reporting: Measure PR results (coverage, reach, sentiment) and report with clear recommendations.

Your profile

• Experience: 5+ years in PR and communications, preferably in the automotive or premium sector, with proven experience in media relations and crisis communication. An OEM or agency background is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in communication, public relations, journalism, marketing or equivalent.
• Network: Strong knowledge of the Belgian media landscape in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels, with existing media relationships.
• Skills: Excellent writing skills, strong project and budget management, and a sense for storytelling.
• Languages: Fluent in French and Dutch, with professional English as the corporate language.
• Mindset: Proactive, reactive when needed, diplomatic, with strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Mobility: Driving licence B.
