Ghent University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Electromechanical Engineering to work on the IMVEP project focused on multilevel inverters and a 100 kW, 20,000 rpm motor. The role combines simulation, PCB design, and hands-on testing within a multidisciplinary team.

The candidate should hold a Master of Science in Engineering (Technology) in electromechanical or electrical engineering, with strong power electronics expertise and experience in both experiments and simulation

Qualifications

Master of Science in Engineering (Technology), preferably in electromechanical or electrical engineering.
Affinity with both experimental research and simulation software.
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in power electronics.

Responsabilités

Contribute to the simulation and modeling of the inverter and its integration with the electric motor.
Design, build, and debug the inverter PCBs.
Implement the control software on a rapid prototyping platform.
Develop a safe test setup and carry out experimental measurements on the inverter.
