Magnax in Belgium is seeking a Power Electronics and Motor Control Engineer to join our R&D team in Kortrijk. You will design high-efficiency power electronic circuits and motor controllers for yokeless axial flux motors, lead simulations, testing, and validation, and work with cross-functional teams.

You have a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years in power electronics, inverter design and PCB tools; English fluency is required.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in power electronics and circuit design.
Strong knowledge of inverters and motor controllers.
Experience with PCB design tools such as KiCad or Altium.
Experience with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice.
Understanding of thermal management and EMC.
Model-based design and/or FPGA platform experience is a plus.
A team player with proactive problem-solving and English fluency.

Responsabilités

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and optimize high-efficiency power electronic and motor control systems.
Create detailed requirements and functional designs for power electronic circuits and motor controllers.
Perform simulations, testing and validation to meet performance requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during design, prototyping and manufacturing phases.
Ensure products comply with standards for power drive systems.
Stay informed about trends in power electronics for robotics and industrial applications.
