Phinest, a Belgian management consulting firm, is seeking a Project Management Officer to oversee multiple projects, enhance governance, and manage stakeholder relations. You will monitor progress, assess risks, and support Project Managers in delivering strategic initiatives across varied sectors.

The role requires a Master's degree and 2–10 years of PMO experience, with strong analytical skills, business acumen, and fluent French and English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Management, Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–10 years of experience as PMO or related roles.
• Solid organisational skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Strong analytical and critical mindset.
• Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability.
• Good business acumen in project planning and management.
• Experience with a project methodology (Agile, PMP, Prince2); certifications a plus.
• Ability to operate in a matrix organisation with multiple priorities.
• Excellent strategic communication with diverse stakeholders; business audience.
• Enthusiastic and able to motivate team members.
• Comfort with fast-paced, ambiguous environments and sound architectural judgment.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to new environments.
• Languages: fluent French and English; Dutch an asset.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to Project Managers, coordinating key actions and stakeholder management.

Position:

Project Management Officer

Responsabilities:

As a PMO Consultant at Phinest, you will play a critical role in overseeing and facilitating ambitious projects.

• Coordinate the activities of various projects and improve project governance
• Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
• Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess the financial impact of project delays or scope changes and recommend corrective actions.
• Report to and liaise with Steering committee to align on projects objectives and strategies
• Give support to Project Manager, Coordinate key actions and stakeholders' management

Skills and Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Management, Engineering or equivalent
• 2 to 10 years of a proven experience as a Project Management Officer or related functions
• Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong analytical and critical mindset
• Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability
• Good business acumen in project planning and management
• Prior experience with a project methodology: Agile, PMP, Prince2 etc (Certifications is a plus)
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation where the workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to communicate strategically with various stakeholder including a business audience
• Enthusiastic and are able to motivate other team member
• Fast paced, changing environment doesn't scare you. On the contrary, you work well with ambiguity, challenge conventional wisdom; and can effectively evaluate ideas and make sound architectural recommendations thanks to your can-do attitude.
• Effective time management and ability to clearly identify priorities and manage multiple tasks
• Flexible and able to adapt quickly to a new environment
• Languages:
• Must be able to speak fluently in French AND English,
• Dutch is an asset
