Vrije Universiteit Brussel invites applications for a part-time professorship in Device Development for Microfluidics and Microreactors at the Brussels Campus. The role includes co-teaching a Microfluidics course, supervising Masters and PhD students, and organizing related workshops.

You will advance fabrication and analytical work with microfluidic chips and collaborate with the µFlow Team network. The appointment is 0.1 FTE for 3 years (renewable) starting 01/01/2027, with a competitive

Qualifications

• PhD in Sciences or (Bio-)Engineering Sciences.
• At least four years of postdoctoral experience.
• Currently hold a part-time postdoctoral position in microfluidics/microreactors at VUB.
• Experience with EU-funded project proposals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Co-instructor of the 6 ECTS course Microfluidics and lecture delivery.
• Supervise master's and PhD students as (co-)supervisor.
• Organize workshops and training courses within the Flanders Chips framework.
• Develop microfluidic applications using silicon, glass and polymers.
