Qualifications

• PhD degree in engineering relevant for the research field.
• At least 10 years of demonstrable professional and/or academic experience in humanitarian engineering, including international and locally embedded contexts.
• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in social-science research and the ability to apply both quantitative and qualitative methods to engineering-related societal questions.
• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with equity and inclusion in research or practice.
• Established research career with a strong record of scientific dissemination and peer-reviewed collaboration.
• Proven experience in acquiring external research funding and coordinating funded projects.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills; leadership experience with students and collaborators.
• Active engagement with societal or community initiatives relevant to humanitarian engineering, sustainability, equity or inclusion.
• Language regulations and visa/permitting considerations for non-EEA nationals.

Responsabilités

• Supervise Master’s and PhD students in humanitarian engineering and inclusive engineering practices.
• Contribute to research seminars, doctoral training, and international academic exchanges.
• Develop and lead a research program addressing urban mobility and inclusive urban challenges.
• Disseminate project results through international scientific and societal channels.
• Engage with engineers, community organizations, policymakers and stakeholders as co-researchers.
• Participate in Mobilise Research Group and HOST activities and contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration.
