NextChain Solutions is seeking an OPS Security Engineer for Firewall & Proxy Filtering Services. You will manage firewall flow requests, implement rules, and support audits while maintaining alignment with security policies. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and certifications such as PCNSA, Network+.

Telework is 50% on-site and 50% remote. Fluency in Dutch or French is mandatory, and a Bachelor degree or equivalent is expected.

Role Description: OPS Security Engineer - Firewall & Proxy Filtering Services

Within the Tribe IT Production Security, the Squad Firewall & Proxy Filtering Services is responsible for managing the Firewalls of the bank. The daily activities consist of validating the FW request, implementing new Firewall rules, solving Firewall related incidents and implementing secured solutions based on the business needs and security requirements. In addition to these daily activities, we must also address various audits, network security controls, security requirements, regulatory obligations and the recertification of data flows by providing detailed analysis and supporting evidence

• You will participate in daily management of the Firewall flow requests
• You will help solve incidents caused by Firewall related incidents or security policies
• You will contribute to project teams with your firewall technology experience
• You will ensure that the firewall configurations stay in line with the BNP Paribas Fortis security policies and you will document them
• You will manage all requests with respect to the security rules of the bank
• You will perform deep analysis and provide evidence required in case of audits, flow recertifications or other reporting activities

Language requirements:

Dutch or French : Mandatory

Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent

Certification: PCNSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator) CompTIA Network+ CCNA

Telework Expectation: 50% on site & 50% homeworking

Required experience / knowledge: At least 5 years of relevant experience

Technical experience(mandatory):

• Proven experience in Firewall, IPS/IDS, Cloud micro-segmentation
• At least 5 years in a Firewall environment is mandatory
• Firewall rules implementation
• Firewall policy optimization
• Palo Alto or Fortinet experience
• Experience with Service Now (IT Service Management module)
• MS Excel (Automatic reporting: VBA, Python)
• Security, networking & architecture principles knowledge is required
• Proven experience in analysis and audit reporting
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• Ability to learn fast and adopt new technologies / tools
• Quick self-starter and autonomous
• You have a good team spirit and share your knowledge and experience with other members of the team
