Job summary

Lloyd's Belgium in Brussels is recruiting an Operational Risk Associate to join the Risk Management team. You will lead risk oversight activities, perform assessments and incident reviews, and provide actionable recommendations across the business.

You will monitor exposures and align with risk appetite, reporting to senior committees with clear, data-driven insights. This role emphasizes collaboration, cross‑functional influence, and ongoing development within a regulated, global insurance

Qualifications

• Experience within operational risk, risk management, compliance, audit or assurance.
• Strong understanding of operational and non-financial risk management frameworks.
• Ability to analyse complex information and translate it into insights and recommendations.
• Exposure to Belgian or EU regulatory frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver assigned operational risk oversight activities, including risk assessments, control testing, incident reviews and thematic analysis.
• Monitor risk exposures and assess alignment with risk policies, standards and appetite.
• Provide evidence-based challenge and practical recommendations to stakeholders across the business.
• Identify emerging risks, trends and control weaknesses, driving continuous improvement.
• Produce clear reporting for senior management and risk committees.
• Support LIC's annual Risk Plan and build a strong risk culture across the network.
