EMW in Brussels is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to lead OHS activities during the HQ relocation, ensuring compliance with NATO SECRET security requirements and Host Nation regulations.

You will develop and implement ISO 45001-aligned procedures, conduct risk assessments, coordinate training, and oversee emergency preparedness across sites, travel as needed within NATO locations, and report to CQO and Transition Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and ISO 45001.
• Experience implementing OHS procedures, risk assessments, and inspections.
• Familiarity with national and international health and safety standards.

Responsabilités

• Act as principal Health and Safety Administrator at the base location and support additional sites, providing expert advice and compliance with Host Nation regulations.
• Draft and implement OHS procedures aligned with ISO 45001 and support policy and programme development.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and propose control measures; monitor actions and investigate incidents.
• Plan and deliver training, awareness, and communication activities; support the Health and Safety Committee and safety culture.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including fire and first aid arrangements; liaise with Occupational Health Services.
