EMW, Inc. is recruiting an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to act as the principal OHS Administrator for a NATO-related site in Brussels.

The role requires delivering expert advice, implementing ISO 45001 aligned procedures, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating emergency preparedness while supporting transitions to a new HQ facility. The candidate will manage inspections, training, and reporting, ensuring compliance with host-nation and NATO requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years of post-related experience.
• Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety principles, legislation, and ISO 45001 familiarity.
• Experience implementing OHS procedures, conducting risk assessments, inspections and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal Health and Safety Administrator at the base and support other sites with expert advice.
• Draft and implement OHS procedures aligned with ISO 45001.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, investigate incidents and propose corrective actions.
• Plan and deliver health and safety training and contribute to safety communications.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and liaise with health services to support wellbeing.
• Prepare reports on OHS activity, assist with budgets, manage projects to strengthen the program.
• Maintain compliance across transitions, ensuring safe occupancy and site readiness.
