AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Ocean Export Forwarder in Antwerp to manage end-to-end outbound ocean freight shipments and act as the central coordinator for Belgian operations.

You will work under the Ocean Export Manager, interacting with clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time, compliant delivery while maintaining accurate documentation and proactive communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, preferably in ocean export operations.
• Knowledge of export documentation and Incoterms.
• Understanding of international shipping procedures and trade compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously with accuracy and speed.
• Hands-on, customer-centric, and deadline-driven.
• DG shipments experience is a plus.
• Fluent English and Dutch; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Register export orders and create shipment files in the TMS (CargoWise).
• Coordinate container bookings with carriers or consolidators.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and agents to organise pick-up and delivery.
• Prepare and validate all necessary documentation including BLs, export instructions, certificates, and DG declarations.
• Hand over files to customs team for clearance and assist with permits.
• Monitor departure schedules and keep customers informed.
• Enter costs and revenues and ensure billing instructions are followed.
• Resolve issues or disputes related to operational execution.
• Escalate irregularities to the Ocean Export Manager.
• Coordinate warehouse administration and manage inbound/outbound orders with accurate inventory records.
• Act as main contact for warehouse operations and monitor service levels.
