Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Principal Scientist, Advanced Manufacturing - Synthetics Strategy & Deployment, to define and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies globally across the synthetic drug substance network. You will partner with MSAT, Supply Chain, and site leadership to accelerate technology adoption and improve process robustness.

The role leads digital manufacturing initiatives, process intensification, and real-time release testing, driving business value and lifecycle

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, MSAT, or related functions.
• Proven leadership in global deployment of complex manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with commercialization, technology transfer, process validation, and lifecycle management.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement global deployment strategies for advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Lead deployment across sites and products with governance and standardization.
• Develop and communicate compelling business cases for deployment opportunities.
• Provide scientific leadership for complex manufacturing challenges and promote data-driven manufacturing.
