Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to support packaging design, technology transfer, and lifecycle management across IMSC sites. The role focuses on packaging equipment, secondary and distribution packaging, and process validation, with collaboration across MSAT, planning, and supply chain teams.

You will lead multiple projects, drive cost improvements, ensure compliance with cGMP and documentation standards, and support new product launches and technical transfers

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of packaging engineering and/or design experience.
• Knowledge of packaging equipment and technology is required.
• Experience with secondary and distribution packaging design.
• Understanding of cGMP and Good Documentation Practices.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifecycle packaging equipment and tech transfer support across sites.
• Coordinate technology transfers and equipment installation projects.
• Ensure packaging technology and engineering standards are met site-wide.
• Support packaging-related quality investigations for new products and transfers.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities and drive line efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within IMSC and external partners.
• Define project objectives and deliverables with the team.
• Apply FPX & Six Sigma methodologies where possible.
• Promote sustainable packaging solutions in projects.
