Job summary

Victaulic Europe B.V. is seeking a Materials Assistant to manage inventory, support forecasting, and coordinate with global teams. The role requires ERP experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication.

You will participate in global inventory meetings, analyze FG and component stock, and implement inventory policies to improve efficiency across Belgium sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
• Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Willing to travel overnight infrequently.
• English required; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Oversee planning and coordination of the company's inventory.
• Prepare reports for monthly Global Inventory Meetings.
• Participate in monthly Global inventory meetings.
• Collaborate with product and sales management to plan forecasting models.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management on delivery and inventory strategies.
• Create and follow up on inventory add requests.
• Analyze and optimize Finished Goods and Component inventories.
• Prepare Kanban calculations for all branches with Branch Operations and Branch Managers.
• Analyze and implement action plans for excess and obsolete inventory.
• Monitor out-of-region shipments and define action plans.
• Prepare weekly Sales & Operations inventory reports.
• Review On Time Delivery reports and propose actions.
• Daily review of Branch Stock Out reports.
• Ensure adherence to company inventory policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement inventory policies, procedures and processes.

Job Description MATERIALS ASSISTANT

What you will do

• Maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee the planning and the coordination of the company's inventory.
• Prepare the reports for the monthly Global Inventory Meetings.
• Participate in the monthly Global inventory meetings.
• Collaborate with product and sales management to plan forecasting models.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Management on delivery and inventory strategies.
• Create and follow up on the implantation of Inventory add requests.
• Analyze and optimize the inventory levels of the Finished Goods (FG) inventory.
• Analyze and optimize the inventory levels of the Component Inventory.
• Prepare and review the Kanban calculation for all branches in cooperation with Branch Operations and the Branch Managers.
• Analyse and put action plan together for excess and obsolete inventory.
• Monitor out of region shipments and define action plan.
• Prepare and review the weekly Sales & Operations inventory reports.
• Review the weekly On Time Delivery (OTD) reports and propose actions.
• Daily review of the Branch Stock Out reports.
• Ensure that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions.
• Development and implementation of inventory policies, procedures and processes.

About you

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Must have proficient software skills such as Microsoft Office - Word, Excel
• Shows good oral and written communications skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
• Advanced knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Willing to make infrequent overnight travel.
• Language skills (minimum English, every other language is an asset).
