Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Belgium to support process improvement and troubleshooting across identified areas. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives and lead critical projects with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, process optimization, and coordination with Fab Manager to maintain process quality, with a focus on FEM and TPM programs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering.
• Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
• Experience in Process Improvement and problem solving.
• Knowledge of materials planning systems (BPCS/M3).

Responsibilities

• Abide by safety rules and maintain safe working conditions.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks and training sessions.
• Investigate accidents and root causes, and report findings.
• Develop solutions for complex problems affecting plant layout and construction.
• Lead cross-functional reviews of cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Coordinate with Fab Manager to maintain quality of all processes.
• Drive ongoing fabrication process improvements and global best practices.
• Ensure FEM program implementation and TPM schedules are followed.

The Role

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting and continuous support of process improvement for the identified areas.

What You Will Do

• Abide by all company safety rules, regulations, and policies, ensuring that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained.
• Conduct safety training topics as required or needed.
• Responsible for attending/leading all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
• Develop solutions to a variety of complex - and sometimes unusual problems, that require independent judgement and ingenuity to modify procedure standards related to plant layout, design and construction.
• Acts as primary contact for local facilities project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Coordinate with Fab Manager and teams to maintain quality of all work process systems and assist the Fab Manager to prepare reports on regular basis.
• Participate in the ongoing improvement and enhancement of existing processes related to fabrication. Take leadership role in benchmarking and identifying best-practices globally.
• Ensure our FEM program is implemented, and all total productive maintenance programs are in place and schedules are followed.

About You

• BS Degree in Engineering.
• Able to work independently and within a team, self-motivated, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel up to 40%
• In-depth knowledge of materials planning computer systems required (BPCS or M3 preferred).
• Demonstrated ability in Process Improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
• Fluent in English, other languages are an asset.
