Deloitte Belgium in Wallonia is seeking a Manager M&A Transaction Services to lead due diligence engagements and shape the financial narrative for family-owned clients. You will own valuation and deal structure, and collaborate with clients and advisors to drive transaction success.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least five years in financial due diligence and M&A advisory, with strong numerical skills and the ability to lead a team and develop business.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial due diligence and M&A advisory.
• Affinity with M&A & Corporate Finance market.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Independent, solution- and goal-oriented thinker with project management skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence across levels; French and English fluency; Dutch a plus.

Our M&A & Finance team delivers professional services in M&A transactions related to both sell- and buy side for family-owned business. Those services are embedded into an end-to-end buys-side approach (valuation, negotiation, documentation, contracting,..), focusing on private owned corporate companies. Typically, our services are delivered on “moments that matter” to our customers.

We're growing our team of 45 professionals, and we're looking for a

Manager M&A Transaction Services in Wallonia who can lead due diligence engagements while thinking strategically alongside our clients. You'll own the financial story of transactions, advise on valuation and deal structure, and help entrepreneurs make the right decisions.

How will your daily activities look like?

As a manager, your will:

Lead tailored due diligence projects—and own the financial narrative:

• Take full ownership of financial due diligence projects from kick-off to closing, identifying and quantifying financial risks, value drivers, and hidden opportunities that shape transaction outcomes.
• Conduct analysis of target companies' financial performance, working capital, and earnings quality—translating findings into clear, actionable insights that provide real value to the clients.
• Engage directly and intensively with the client, Target management, and other advisors and stakeholders.
• Think beyond the checklist: you're not just ticking boxes; you're uncovering what really matters for this specific transaction and client.

Advise on valuation, deal structure, and financing:

• Lead valuation workstreams and advice on value drivers towards the client.
• Manage acquisition structuring and financing projects from start to finish.

Build and lead your team:

• Manage a team of consultants, providing mentorship, quality oversight, and career development.
• Work closely with M&A & Finance- and Tax & Legal colleagues, sharing responsibility for the project, providing support, and communicating all issues, conclusions, and the progress made.

Expand client relationships and drive business:

• Deepen relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to expand our role in their M&A journey.
• Contribute to business development by identifying new client opportunities within and beyond the Deloitte network

Let's talk about you

• You hold a Master’s degree
• You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of financial due diligence and M&A advisory.
• You have affinity with M&A & Corporate Finance market
• You are passionate by financial numbers and analysis, with a strong attention to details
• You are a solution and goal-oriented thinker
• You have the necessary competencies to perform your job independently while using professional assertiveness
• You have acquired good skills in project management and excel spread sheeting
• You have the ability to communicate clear, persuade and influence
• You are able to recognize your client’s needs and are energised by engaging with family-owned clients in the local market.
• You are a team player with a sense of responsibility and the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Excellent communication and report writing skills in French and English. Dutch is a plus.
