Job summary

Bekaert in Belgium is seeking a senior Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to support evaluation and execution of potential deals. You will provide detailed financial analysis, market research, and due diligence to inform senior management decisions.

The role requires a master's degree and 5–7 years in finance, with strong modeling, valuation, report writing, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with finance, legal, and operations to assess targets and monitor deal performance.

Qualifications

Purpose and Mission

• Responsible for supporting the evaluation and execution of potential mergers, acquisitions, and other business opportunities by providing detailed financial analysis and market research.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential acquisition targets.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and perform valuation analysis of potential targets.
• Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process, evaluating the strategic fit, financial health, and potential risks of target companies.
• Data Collection: Gather and analyze data on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
• Report Preparation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Modeling: Develop financial models to project the impact of potential deals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support transaction execution.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the performance of completed transactions.

• Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
