Job summary

Ambiorix bv seeks a Mechanical Engineer to bring wearable diagnostic sensors from concept to mass production. Design enclosures, interfaces and integration with electronics while coordinating with Asia-based manufacturing partners; ensure DFM reviews, tooling kick-off, and samples are successfully implemented.

The role combines hands-on design with production-scale thinking, offering a hybrid in-office setup in Leuven and the chance to influence product development in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• You've taken at least one product through injection-moulded tooling to series production and dealt with what went wrong.
• You're fluent in industry standard design programs and languages; basic notion about schematics.

Responsibilities

• Enclosures, electrode interfaces and body attachment for small wearable sensors.
• Work with lead electronics and firmware engineer on board outlines, antenna keep-outs, battery placement and stack height.
• Coordinate with manufacturing partners in Asia: DFM reviews, tooling kick-off, T1/T2 samples, golden samples, test fixtures; travel to factories.
• Take Arta Holter from pilot builds to volume production: yield, fixtures, incoming inspection, and process changes that preserve the design history file.
