Job summary

Loop is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineering Lead to drive the mechanical development of hardware from concept to mass production. You will own system-level architecture and guide cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable designs.

You will lead from concept through EVT/DVT/PVT, setting tolerancing, documentation, and supplier collaboration standards while balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability. Hybrid work in Antwerp or Amsterdam is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical product design, ideally in consumer electronics or hardware.
• Deep expertise in 3D CAD, tolerancing, material selection, and mechanical stack ups.
• Experience with root cause analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, and validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Own system level mechanical architecture and ensure production readiness through EVT/DVT/PVT.
• Translate concepts into manufacturable, reliable mechanical designs with clear documentation.
• Drive material and process selection balancing performance, cost, and timelines.
• Lead root cause analyses and risk mitigation across late-stage builds.
