Lighthouse in Belgium is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to drive frontend platform initiatives, accelerate the Ember-to-React migration, and strengthen the design system while improving tooling, education, and guardrails for AI-assisted development.

You will partner with product engineers and solution architects to translate broad goals into concrete plans, manage delivery, and raise engineering quality across teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level frontend engineering experience capable of turning goals into plans and delivered outcomes.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript guiding engineers toward high-quality migration decisions.
• Fluency with at least one AI development tool and understanding of guardrails for good results.
• Excellent project-management, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Comfort working beyond application code including tooling, cloud infra, and delivery pipelines.

Responsabilités

• Lead frontend platform initiatives to accelerate Lighthouse’s migration from Ember to React.
• Own AI-assisted frontend tooling and improve the frontend harness for safe contributor use.
• Educate engineers, build tooling, and guardrails to raise speed and quality.
• Set direction for initiatives by turning goals into actionable plans.
• Collaborate with product engineers and solution architects to drive adoption.
