Job summary

Recurv is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to maintain an existing Docker Swarm platform and lead the development of its Kubernetes successor. You will be hands-on, accountable, and able to explain complex technical concepts to colleagues across teams.

Location is Brussels Region with a hybrid work model—up to 3 days remote per week. The role fits freelance consultants or payroll employees, in a security-critical environment requiring strong automation and GitOps practices.

Qualifications

• Have set up Kubernetes clusters from scratch and operate them end-to-end.
• Depth in Kubernetes networking (CNI, DNS, ingress) and cluster troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Docker and Docker Swarm from day one.
• Proficiency with GitOps and infrastructure automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot the existing Docker and Docker Swarm platform.
• Design, build and operate the Kubernetes platform, and lead the migration from Docker Swarm.
• Automate platform, deployment and operational processes as code, and maintain CI/CD workflows.
• Apply security hardening and compliance requirements in restricted environments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, containers and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development, architecture and infra teams to improve reliability and performance.
