Taleo Consulting Group is seeking an experienced IT PMO professional for a long-term assignment with a leading player in the Belgian energy sector. You will coordinate, plan and monitor multiple IT projects supporting the client’s transformation and its ambition to build the electricity grid of tomorrow.

The role combines project governance, financial monitoring, stakeholder management and executive reporting with a solid understanding of IT delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management, PMO or project portfolio coordination.
• Strong understanding of IT projects and delivery environments; able to engage effectively with technical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented, with the confidence to challenge and make recommendations.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate several IT projects in parallel, maintaining roadmaps, schedules, milestones, deliverables and inter-project dependencies.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and actual costs; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Understand technical issues, challenge delivery assumptions and suggest solutions to improve project outcomes.
• Align IT, Business, Engineering and external partners; facilitate governance meetings and steering committees.
• Prepare clear dashboards, KPIs, risk registers and progress reports for Management and Top Management.
• Anticipate risks and bottlenecks, manage escalations and drive continuous improvement in project governance.

The role combines project governance, financial monitoring, stakeholder management and executive reporting with a solid understanding of IT delivery. You will be expected to challenge teams, anticipate risks and proactively propose pragmatic improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate several IT projects in parallel, maintaining roadmaps, schedules, milestones, deliverables and inter-project dependencies.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and actual costs; identify variances and recommend corrective actions.

Nice to have

• Experience in Energy & Utilities, particularly electricity networks, infrastructure or energy transformation.
• Engineering or IT degree (Computer Science, Electrical or Industrial Engineering).
• Knowledge of PMI, PRINCE2, Agile or Waterfall, and tools such as MS Project, Jira, Power BI or Excel.
