Phinest, a Belgian management consulting firm, seeks an IT Infrastructure Project Manager with strong hardware, networks, systems and cloud experience to lead a major retail infrastructure program.

You will manage end-to-end delivery, coordinate diverse teams and suppliers, ensure governance and security, and drive efficiency across stores, distribution centres and corporate sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience.
• Strong exposure to both hardware and software environments.
• Experience with networks, servers, OS, cloud, security or enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure and dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets, planning, risks and governance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working within large and complex organizations.

Responsabilités

• Lead IT infrastructure projects end-to-end from initiation to closure.
• Define and manage scope, planning, budget, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate infrastructure teams, engineers, security specialists, and external suppliers.
• Act as the link between Business, IT Infrastructure, Network, Security, Cloud and Applications teams.
• Prepare and lead Steering Committees, PMO governance and status reports.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and escalation processes.
• Coordinate testing, validation, migration and deployment activities.
• Manage projects involving both hardware and software components.
• Ensure alignment with IT governance, security and architecture standards.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across projects.

Position: IT Infrastructure Project Manager

For one of our key clients in the retail sector, Phinest is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong Infrastructure background, capable of managing projects across hardware, network, systems, software and cloud environments.

You will contribute to a large-scale Infrastructure Transformation Program aimed at modernizing the IT landscape across stores, distribution centers and corporate environments.

The ideal candidate is not expected to be a hands-on technical expert in every technology, but should have sufficient technical understanding to effectively manage infrastructure projects, challenge technical teams and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders.

You will manage several infrastructure transformation initiatives, potentially including:

• Network & Hardware Modernization: replacement and upgrade of network equipment across stores, distribution centers and corporate environments.
• Operating Systems Upgrade Program: modernization of operating systems and decommissioning of legacy environments.
• Store Server Migration: migration and modernization of server infrastructure across the retail network.
• PKI Implementation: deployment of Public Key Infrastructure to strengthen authentication and security.
• SD-WAN / SASE Transformation: modernization of enterprise connectivity and network security.
• SAP Infrastructure & Backup: evolution of infrastructure supporting SAP environments, including backup and storage optimization.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Migration: support the transition from legacy infrastructure towards more modern and cloud-oriented environments.
• Legacy Infrastructure Decommissioning: reduce technical debt and improve security, resilience and operational efficiency.

Responsabilities:

• Lead IT infrastructure projects end-to-end, from initiation and planning through deployment and closure.
• Define and manage scope, planning, budget, resources, risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate infrastructure teams, engineers, architects, security specialists, software/application teams and external suppliers.
• Act as the link between Business, IT Infrastructure, Network, Security, Cloud and Application teams.
• Prepare and lead Steering Committees, project status reporting and PMO governance.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and escalation processes.
• Coordinate testing, validation, migration and deployment activities.
• Manage projects involving both hardware and software components.
• Ensure alignment with IT Governance, security and architecture standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex enterprise environment.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Project Management.
• Strong exposure to both hardware and software environments.
• Experience with projects involving networks, servers, operating systems, cloud, security or enterprise applications.
• Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments and their dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier management capabilities.
• Experience managing budgets, planning, risks and governance end-to-end.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both highly technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience working within large and complex organizations.

Languages

• French and/or Dutch: Strong asset

Nice to Have

• Experience with network transformation, SD-WAN, SASE or PKI.
• Experience with server and operating system migrations.
• Exposure to cloud migration and infrastructure modernization.
• SAP infrastructure knowledge.
• Cybersecurity exposure.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
• Previous experience within Retail or E-commerce.
