Job summary

Huxley in Charleroi is seeking an experienced IT Support & Workplace Manager to act as the IT business partner for a major unit. You will lead the local IT support team, define requirements with stakeholders, and ensure high-quality services and secure work environments.

The role combines people leadership with project delivery, infrastructure oversight, and IT security policy compliance. Fluent French is mandatory; English is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a broad IT support, infra, or workplace role.
• Experience managing a support/helpdesk team.
• Strong knowledge of workplace technologies and end-user support.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary IT contact and trusted advisor for local management.
• Understand business needs and translate them into IT requirements.
• Ensure effective communication between business stakeholders and central IT teams.
• Promote IT best practices and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate a local team of 3 IT support engineers.
• Organize workloads, priorities, ticket allocation, and planning.
• Ensure high levels of service quality and user satisfaction.
• Monitor incidents, requests, SLAs, and performance indicators.
• Coordinate escalations with specialized IT teams when required.
• Manage local IT workplace environment, including PCs, peripherals, software, and infrastructure.
• Oversee hardware lifecycle management and workplace deployments.
• Support IT security policies and compliance requirements.
• Manage IT assets and local tech purchases.
• Gather and analyze business requirements for new IT initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure, workplace, and tech projects.
