Jobgether in Belgium seeks a Devices & IoT Field Engineering Manager to lead a regional team of Field Engineers. The role blends hands-on Linux and embedded expertise with people management, presales, solution architecture, and professional services.

You will coach engineers, drive excellence, and collaborate with customers, partners, and product teams to design secure, durable IoT and edge solutions in a remote-first, globally distributed setting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or equivalent).
• Strong Linux expertise; Debian/Ubuntu knowledge advantageous.
• Experience leading small engineering or technical teams.
• Direct customer-facing experience in technical roles (consulting, presales, services).
• Ability to explain complex concepts and business value of technology.
• Knowledge of connected devices, IoT, edge computing.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally roughly twice a year.
• Experience in remote-first, distributed environments advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead, develop, and support a team of Field Engineers.
• Set objectives, plan priorities, and drive progress against goals and commitments.
• Shape team strategy with leadership and organizational priorities.
• Champion engineering excellence and disciplined processes across the team.
• Coach and mentor engineers, providing regular feedback and career development.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to customers on Linux and IoT technologies.
• Represent the team and its products to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Monitor health indicators and continuously improve team performance.
• Provide market feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Work within a globally distributed environment and travel as required.
