Jobgether in Belgium is seeking an Engineering Manager - Linux Hardware Enablement to lead a distributed team delivering Ubuntu integrations across IoT, PC, and server hardware. You will partner with silicon vendors and internal teams to shape architecture and accelerate hardware enablement from kernel to desktop.
The role combines people leadership, technical direction, and customer/partner collaboration in a fast-paced, international environment.
Qualifications
- Experience leading software teams with coaching and performance development.
- Proven track record in delivering hardware enablement projects.
- Strong English written and spoken communication.
- Experience with Linux distributions and Ubuntu/Debian.
- Ability to work with customers/partners and align priorities.
Responsabilités
- Lead a distributed team delivering Ubuntu integrations for IoT, PC, and server hardware.
- Provide technical leadership across the Linux stack and implement hardware enablement.
- Build relationships with partners and ensure milestones are delivered.
- Oversee partner engagements and maintain quality and reliability.
- Coach and develop engineers through feedback and leadership.
- Align architecture and roadmaps with internal teams.
- Foster collaborative, high-performing engineering culture and improve practices.
- Travel internationally for team and company events, up to twice per year.
