Job summary

Besix is offering an internship in Procurement & Purchasing in Belgium for students pursuing a master’s in International Trade, Purchasing, or Supply Chain. The role provides hands-on experience with sourcing, RFQs, supplier analyses, and contract administration within an international construction context.

The internship requires at least 6 weeks full-time at the head office in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, with fluency in French/Dutch and good English.

Qualifications

• Support the Procurement & Purchasing team in day-to-day activities.

Are you a student in International Trade, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and looking for an internship in Belgium? Great! BESIX is continuously looking for motivated interns eager to discover the world of Procurement & Purchasing in an international environment.

During your internship, you will work alongside experienced procurement professionals and contribute to the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities that support our construction projects around the world.

Your mission:

• Support the Procurement & Purchasing team in their day-to-day activities;
• Assist in supplier sourcing, market research, and price inquiries;
• Participate in the preparation, follow-up, and evaluation of Requests for Quotation (RFQs);
• Contribute to supplier comparisons, bid analyses, and recommendation reports;
• Support the administration and follow-up of contracts, orders, and supplier databases;
• Assist with purchasing activities for national and international construction projects;
• Contribute to logistics coordination and the follow-up of international shipments when required.

Qualifications and requirements

• You are pursuing a master's degree in International Trade, Purchasing, Supply Chain or equivalent;
• You want to do an internship at our head office (Woluwe-Saint-Lambert);
• Your internship period must be at least 6 weeks full-time. Please mention your internship period in your application ;
• You speak French/Dutch and you have a good knowledge of English;
• You have an analytical mind, autonomy and rigor;
• You are communicative, proactive and you are not afraid of being in direct intervention and cooperation with multiple stakeholders;
