Job summary

BESIX Group in Brussels invites motivated students in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related fields to join our Engineering Office internship. You will gain hands-on experience across methods & planning, BIM, design, geotechnics, sustainability and more on major projects.

You will work with seasoned engineers, contribute to drawings, calculations and documentation, and develop practical solutions while learning in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor or master degree in civil/industrial engineering, construction, or architecture.
• Internship in our study office in Brussels; 4–6 weeks preferred.
• Dutch/French speaker with good English knowledge.
• Analytical, autonomous, communicative, and a true team player.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in technical preparation and execution of construction projects.
• Assist in developing methodologies, technical studies, and engineering solutions.

Are you a student in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and looking for an internship in Belgium? Great! BESIX is continuously looking for motivated interns eager to contribute to large and complex projects.

During your internship in our Engineering Office, you will work alongside experienced engineers and experts, gaining hands‑on experience in the technical preparation and optimization of major construction projects. Depending on your interests and background, you may have the opportunity to contribute to disciplines such as methods & planning, BIM, design, geotechnics, sustainability, facades, concrete structures, or special techniques.

Your mission:

• Support engineers in the technical preparation and execution of construction projects;
• Assist in the development of methodologies, technical studies, and engineering solutions;
• Contribute to the preparation of drawings, calculations, models, and technical documentation;
• Participate in BIM, design, planning, or sustainability-related tasks depending on your field of interest;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize project performance and constructability;
• Assist in the analysis of technical challenges and the development of innovative solutions.

• You are pursuing a bachelor/master degree - civil/industrial engineer construction, architect engineer or equivalent;
• You wish to do an internship in our study office in Brussels;
• Your internship period should be at least 4 full weeks (preferably from 6 full weeks). Please mention your internship period with your application;
• You speak Dutch/French and you have good knowledge of English;
• You are analytical, autonomous and driven;
