A Place Antwerp - Boutique Suites and Flats in Antwerp is seeking a student intern to join a small, hands-on team. The role centers on guest communication, ensuring timely, friendly responses from the first message through checkout, with after-hours support on the duty phone.
You will assist with operations, reviews, direct offers, and admin tasks, coordinating with housekeeping and handling payments and invoices.
We are a young hospitality company, two years old and growing fast: boutique stays in the centre of
Antwerp, apartments and hotel rooms alike, with more coming. The team is small. You work close to the founders, you see how decisions actually get made, and you get real responsibility early instead of a narrow task list. What we compete on is the quality of the stay. Our review scores are the proof of it, and keeping them where they are is most of what this job is about.
1. Guest communication. The core of the role and the reason it exists. Our reviews depend almost entirely on how guests are spoken to: how fast, how well, in what tone. You own that conversation, from the first message to after checkout. Outside office hours it continues on the duty phone. The rotation is shared across the team, planned in advance, and there is always backup reachable above you.
2. Operations. Whatever keeps the places running: coordination with housekeeping, stock runs, a hand when we open a new address or move things around. It varies, and that is part of the appeal.
3. Reviews. Follow them, answer them yourself in the guest's language, chase them after checkout, and handle the bad ones without arguing in public. Above all, spot the patterns: three guests mentioning the same problem is one thing to fix, not three complaints.
4. Direct offers. Direct bookings are our best bookings. You handle the enquiries that reach us directly, answer fast, and follow through until it is booked.
5. Other admin. Payment follow-up, city tax checks, supplier invoices. How much of this you take on depends on your profile.
Hotel school not required.
Hours, pay and schedule are open to discussion, and we can build them around your studies. Student
contract or internship, both work for us. The one thing that is not flexible is the four months minimum.
