A leading hospitality group is seeking a Facility Management Trainee in Ghent. This internship provides hands-on experience in facility management, including daily operations and long-term improvement initiatives. Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree related to Facility Management, possess strong analytical skills, and be fluent in English and/or Dutch. The internship offers an exposure to diverse management processes and includes a monthly compensation of €750, providing ideal training in a premium international hotel setting.

Imagine gaining hands-on experience in facility management within a premium international hotel environment along the Korenlei. As a Facility Management Trainee, you contribute to ensuring operational excellence, safety, sustainability and technical reliability across the hotel.

With 150 guest rooms, a vibrant bar, 9 meeting rooms and a fully equipped fitness centre, you will gain insight into how facility management supports a diverse and dynamic hotel operation on a daily basis. This internship gives you exposure to both daily facility coordination and long-term improvement initiatives.

You will work on preventive maintenance, compliance, contractor coordination, sustainability initiatives and budget insights, all under professional guidance.

What your role looks like

As a Facility Management Trainee, you will:

• support daily technical operations and maintenance coordination;
• assist in preventive maintenance planning and follow-up;
• collaborate with external contractors and suppliers;
• monitor safety, compliance and brand standards;
• contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives;
• assist with audit preparation and documentation;
• participate in improvement projects and process optimisation;
• work closely with operational departments to ensure smooth hotel functioning.

Who are we looking for?

• You are studying a Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Technical Studies or a related field.
• You have a strong interest in building systems, maintenance and operational processes.
• You are analytical, structured and solution-oriented.
• You work accurately with attention to safety and quality.
• You speak English fluently and/or Dutch.
• You are available for at least 8 weeks.
