A global hospitality management company is offering a Maintenance Internship in Ghent, where interns will support daily maintenance tasks and facilitate preventive maintenance processes. This role provides hands-on experience, learning maintenance of technical systems in a modern hotel environment. Candidates should be secondary school students in Technical Studies with fluency in Dutch and/or English, eager to learn practical skills. The internship lasts at least 8 weeks, with a monthly compensation of €750.

About the Internship

In this newly opened hotel, you will support the maintenance team in ensuring smooth technical operations. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in a contemporary hospitality setting.

You will learn how technical systems are maintained in a modern hotel, including preventive maintenance, safety procedures and collaboration with contractors.

What will you do?

As a Maintenance Intern, you will:

• assist with daily maintenance tasks;
• support preventive maintenance checks;
• help report and follow up on technical issues;
• assist with safety and compliance inspections;
• support technical documentation;
• help coordinate with external service providers;
• contribute to maintaining a clean and safe technical environment;
• work closely with the facility team to ensure operational continuity.

Who are we looking for?

• You are a secondary school student in Technical Studies (electricity, mechanics, HVAC, plumbing or similar).
• You are motivated to learn practical technical skills.
• You are responsible and safety-conscious.
• You enjoy teamwork.
• You speak fluent Dutch and/or English.
• You are available for at least 8 weeks.
