Aimbridge is offering an exciting internship opportunity as a Duty Management Trainee at Courtyard by Marriott Ghent. This vibrant hotel, recently opened, is looking for proactive individuals eager to learn the ins and outs of hotel operations.

As an intern, you will receive intensive guidance and support while assisting in various departments, ensuring guest satisfaction, and addressing daily operational challenges. The role offers a monthly compensation of €750 and a chance to build valuable professional connections.

What your role looks like behind the scenes

As a Duty Management Trainee, you will:

• Assist the Duty Manager in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations across multiple departments.
• Walk the hotel floors to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards are met at all times.
• Support Front Office teams during busy moments, check-ins, and guest inquiries.
• Help resolve guest requests and complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
• Ensure VIP arrivals are handled smoothly and follow up on guest satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing handovers, reports, and updates for the next shift or management team.
• Support the Duty Manager in addressing unexpected operational challenges.

In short: you will gain a 360-degree understanding of how a hotel really operates behind the scenes.

Who you are

• You are studying Hotel Management, Tourism, Business, or a related field
• You speak English fluently (any additional languages are a plus)
• You enjoy working with people and communicate easily
• You work proactively and feels comfortable taking initiative
