GL Accountant

Overview

The GL Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for various general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and participation in projects. Working for a fast‑paced, international company offers a full‑breadth accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly activities such as processing journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Manage specific accounting system sub‑ledgers and inventory accounting.
• Assist with documenting and updating processes and procedures (including Desk Level Procedures).
• Evaluate ways to leverage systems to improve existing processes and procedures.
• Assist with completion of internal and external audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience within an accounting organization and close activities.
• BA/BS in accounting and background in GL accounting.
• Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle: purchasing, accounts payable, order management, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, inventory cycle.
• Knowledge of BE‑GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with SAP accounting system.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fundamental and working knowledge of accounting principles and inventory accounting.
• Experience in a fast‑paced/high‑growth environment, able to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects.
