Job summary

Asteria HR Group in de Brusselse regio zoekt een Senior Accountant voor een internationale finance-omgeving. Je neemt de maandafsluiting end-to-end voor jouw rekening en brengt structuur aan in complexe boekhoudprocessen, met mogelijkheden tot digitalisering en automatisering.

Je werkt in een multi-country accounting setup en treedt op als sparringpartner voor controlling, business finance en externe adviseurs, met volle verantwoordelijkheid voor fiscale en rapportagevraagstukken.

Qualifications

• 5–7 jaar ervaring in boekhouding, audit of vergelijkbare financiële omgeving.
• Sterke kennis van Belgische boekhoudwetgeving.
• Hands-on generalist met initiatief en eigenaarschap in een internationale omgeving.

Responsibilities

• Je beheert zelfstandig de maandafsluiting end-to-end.
• Leidt procesverbeteringsinitiatieven in accounting, reporting en audit.
• Fungeert als sleutelbusiness partner voor collega’s en externe stakeholders.

You will join an international finance environment with operations across several European countries. Based in the Brussels region, the accounting team supports multiple entities and works closely with controlling, business finance, and external advisors. English serves as the primary working language.

This Senior Accountant position goes beyond traditional accounting. You will take on a central role in the month-end closing process, bring structure to complex accounting operations, and have the opportunity to drive digitalization, automation, and process improvement initiatives.

• You independently manage the month-end closing process, maintain oversight of the end-to-end accounting cycle, and contribute to the development of an efficient finance organization.
• You lead process improvement initiatives across accounting, reporting, and audit activities, while actively supporting digitalization, automation, and optimization projects.
• You act as a key business partner for colleagues and external stakeholders, analyze financial risks, and support complex matters related to taxation, reporting, and international operations.

Profiel

• You have 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting, audit, consulting, or a similar financial environment, with proven exposure to complex closing processes.
• You combine a strong knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation with the maturity and autonomy required to manage financial processes and dossiers independently.
• You are a hands-on generalist who takes initiative, identifies improvement opportunities, and enjoys taking ownership within an international environment.
