Job summary

Atlas Copco Group invites applications for a Technology Developer to lead development of advanced gas compressor technologies, emphasizing thermodynamics, modelling, and first-principles engineering. You will build and validate analytical and numerical models, simulate across gas types and conditions, and contribute to technology roadmaps.

Based at our Wilrijk site in Antwerp, you will collaborate across R&D, internal stakeholders, and external partners in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

Master in Electromechanical/Energy/Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge of thermodynamics and structural analysis.
Programming capabilities with MATLAB.
Very good knowledge of English; another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain advanced gas compressor technologies, focusing on thermodynamics, modelling and first-principles engineering.
Create analytical and numerical models to simulate compressor behavior across gases and conditions.
Validate models with experimental data and align simulations with real performance.
Define operating scenarios and roadmaps, driving technology directions and supporting strategic decisions.
