Job summary

We are seeking a freelance recruiter to join TCR's HR team. You will proactively identify, engage and persuade high-calibre candidates in a competitive market without relying on inbound applications.

You will manage end-to-end recruitment from candidate identification to supporting hiring managers in decisions. You will own vacancies, engage senior stakeholders, and drive hard-to-fill searches while maintaining a strong candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Available ASAP for minimum 3 days per week through year end.
• Willing to work on-site in Steenokkerzeel (near Brussels Airport).
• Track record of filling complex or hard-to-fill roles.
• Comfort engaging with senior stakeholders and candidates.
• Demonstrates persistence and resilience in challenging recruitment situations.
• Thinks beyond standard sourcing channels and explores alternatives.
• Takes ownership and acts without awaiting direction when facing roadblocks.
• Strong influencing and selling skills to engage passive candidates.
• Comfort managing stakeholders and building relationships with hiring managers.
• Excellent English communication; Dutch or French a plus.
• Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented.
• Enjoys working in an international and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are looking for freelance recruiter to join our HR team. In this role, your focus is to proactively identify, engage and convince high caliber candidates in a competitive and scarce market. You do not rely on inbound applications.

You will play a key role in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from identifying and engaging candidates to supporting hiring managers in making the high-quality hiring decisions.

A snapshot of what you will be doing here

• Take full ownership of critical vacancies from intake to hire, with clear accountability for delivery, timeline and quality.


• Proactively identify, approach and engage candidates through various channels, with a strong focus on direct sourcing (including IT profiles).


• Drive difficult searches forward and maintain momentum despite setbacks or rejection


• Build and maintain a solid pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future needs.


• Manage the full recruitment cycle including screening, interviewing and follow-up with candidates.


• Act as a trusted partner for hiring managers, challenging and guiding them to ensure quality hiring decisions


• Close candidates through a clear and proactive follow up approach. Ensure an excellent candidate experience at every stage.


• Engage and influence senior candidates and hiring managers at director level with credibility

We are looking for a freelancer who

• Is available ASAP for minimum 3d/week until the end of the year (at least).


• Willing to work on-site (Steenokkerzeel, near Brussels Airport).


• Has a track record of successfully filling complex or hard-to-fill roles.


• Is comfortable engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders and candidates.


• Demonstrates persistence and resilience in challenging recruitment situations.


• Thinks beyond standard sourcing channels and actively explores alternative approaches.


• Takes ownership and does not wait for direction when facing roadblocks.


• Has strong influencing and selling skills to engage passive candidates.


• Is comfortable managing stakeholders and building strong relationships with hiring managers.


• Has excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.


• Is proactive, hands-on and solution oriented.
