Job summary

AB InBev is seeking a hands-on First Line Manager Packaging for the Stella Artois Brewery in Belgium. You will lead packaging operations, coach the team, and ensure safe and efficient production with strong KPI delivery.

You will drive improvements, collaborate across departments, and participate in major projects like ERP implementations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety in a dynamic beer production environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent by experience.
• Strong leadership with coaching and communication.
• Deep knowledge of brewing and packaging processes.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline discipline.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety within the brewery.
• Identify and rectify unsafe conditions and incidents.
• Organize, coordinate and monitor production of warm block, cold block, filtration and packaging.
• Contribute to identification of improvement plans for the brewery.
• Ensure performance according to daily, weekly and monthly KPIs and communicate corrective actions in meetings.
• Motivate the team to achieve required KPIs.
• Regularly evaluate training programs and document with tools.
• Conduct root-cause analyses with maintenance and implement process adjustments.
• Manage personnel planning, including covering for absent workers in the next shift.
• Support implementation of innovations and improvement actions.
• Participate in and support key projects (e.g., VPO, ERP...).

De first line manager maakt deel uit van het Productie Management en is verantwoordelijk voor de optimale werking van de afvullingsafdeling. Hij/Zij rapporteert ook aan de Packaging manager. De First Line Manager coördineert, motiveert en coacht het team teneinde de vooropgestelde KPIs en afdelingsobjectieven te behalen op vlak van veiligheid, service naar andere departementen en de kwaliteit van het afgewerkt product. Deze dienen aan een optimale kost, productiviteit en met de beste produktiestandaarden gerealiseerd te worden.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden

• Focust op veiligheid binnen de brouwerij.
• Identificeert en neemt actie om onveilige omstandigheden en incidenten te verhelpen.
• Organiseren, coördineren en opvolgen van de productie van de warme blok, koude blok, filtratie en verpakking.
• Draagt bij tot de identificatie van verbeteringsplannen van de brouwerij.
• Verzekert de performantie zoals bepaald in de dagelijkse, wekelijkse en maandelijkse KPI’s en communiceert de bijsturingsacties op de daartoe voorziene vergaderingen.
• Motiveert het team tot het behalen van de vereiste KPI’s.
• Evalueert regelmatig de opleidingsprogramma’s van alle teamleden en registreert deze met behulp van de bestaande tools.
• Voert (samen met de onderhoudsafdeling) oorzaakanalyses uit om de grondoorzaken van problemen aan te pakken, identificeert en voert de juiste procesaanpassingen uit wanneer nodig.
• Beheert de personeelsplanning, met inbegrip van het regelen van vervanging van afwezige werknemers in de volgende ploeg.
• Ondersteunt de implementatie van innovaties en verbeteringsacties.
• Deelname aan en ondersteunen van sleutelprojecten (zoals VPO, ERP, ...).

Profiel

• Universitair niveau of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
• Goede leidinggevende competenties met accent op coaching en communicatie.
• Doorgedreven kennis van het brouw- en verpakkingsproces.
• Sterke organisatorische vaardigheden, hecht veel belang aan het respecteren van deadlines
• Analytisch en probleemoplossend ingesteld.
• Flexibel – team player.
• Talen: goede kennis van het Nederlands en Engels.
