Job summary

Sander is seeking a Financial Controller for a periphery Brussels IT & digital solutions company. You will join a professional, hands-on finance team and act as a financial business partner to Sales and operations, delivering proactive insights and challenging processes.

The role combines finance, business partnering and process improvement with autonomy and visibility, including involvement in ERP/CRM optimisations and strategic decision support.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial controlling, business controlling, accounting or similar analytical finance role with budgeting, reporting and financial analysis.
• Professional command of Dutch and French; additional languages an asset.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field; strong Excel skills; ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance and prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections; follow up on deviations.
• Analyse financial and operational KPIs and translate into actionable insights for management.
• Act as a financial business partner and support management in strategic decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and cost control.
• Support and improve financial, administrative and operational processes.
• Coordinate financial and administrative aspects of commercial projects and client dossiers.
• Collaborate with Sales, operations and Back Office to ensure accurate project follow-up.
• Participate in ERP, CRM and other business system optimisations.
• Monitor supplier agreements, budgets and contractual conditions to identify risks.

Financial Controller | Your duties and responsibilities

As Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring financial performance and preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting;
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections and following up on deviations;
• Analysing financial and operational KPIs and translating them into actionable insights for management;
• Acting as a financial business partner and supporting management in strategic and operational decision-making;
• Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and cost control;
• Supporting and improving financial, administrative and operational processes;
• Coordinating the financial and administrative aspects of commercial projects and larger client dossiers;
• Working closely with Sales, operational teams and the Back Office to ensure accurate follow-up of projects and processes;
• Supporting and coordinating the Back Office on daily operations and more complex files;
• Participating in the optimisation of ERP, CRM and other business systems;
• Monitoring supplier agreements, contractual conditions and budgets to identify and mitigate financial risks;
• Contributing to broader Finance and business improvement projects as the organisation continues to develop.

Financial Controller | Ideal profile

• Experience: You have previous experience within financial controlling, business controlling, accounting or another analytical finance position and are comfortable working with reporting, budgets and financial analysis.
• Languages: You have a professional command of Dutch and French; additional languages are an asset.
• Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. Strong Excel skills are expected; experience with an ERP such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus.
