Vivid Resourcing is seeking a Business Controller in West Flanders to turn financial data into actionable business decisions. The role combines financial analysis with active business involvement across departments to improve performance and growth.

You will deliver monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and act as a financial partner to operations, sales and logistics. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
• Experience in controlling, financial analysis, audit or reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Excel; experience with ERP systems or Power BI is a plus.
• The ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
• A hands-on mindset and the confidence to work with different teams.
• Fluency in Dutch and good knowledge of English.

Responsabilités

• Financial analysis & reporting: prepare and analyse monthly management reporting; monitor performance, costs and KPIs; explain deviations and identify improvement opportunities; translate results into clear recommendations.
• Budgeting & forecasting: support annual budgeting; prepare forecasts and scenario analyses; follow up on performance and financial objectives; understand future opportunities and risks.
• Business partnering: work with operations, sales, supply chain and management; act as financial sparring partner; support business cases and investment decisions; provide insights for better decision-making.
• Process improvement & data: improve reporting processes and financial tools; develop dashboards and KPI reporting; ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information; identify efficiency improvements.

We are looking for a Business Controller who enjoys combining financial analysis with real business involvement. Someone who can connect the numbers with the operational reality and provide valuable insights that help teams make smarter decisions.

You will join a dynamic organisation in West Flanders where finance works closely with management and different departments to improve performance, efficiency and growth.

Your role

As Business Controller, you will support the organisation by providing clear financial insights and helping stakeholders make informed decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Financial analysis & reporting

• Prepare and analyse monthly management reporting.
• Monitor financial performance, profitability, costs and key business indicators.
• Explain deviations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate financial results into clear recommendations.

Budgeting & forecasting

• Support the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare forecasts and scenario analyses.
• Follow up on business performance and financial objectives.
• Help management understand future opportunities and risks.

Business partnering

• Work closely with departments such as operations, sales, supply chain and management.
• Act as a financial sparring partner for different stakeholders.
• Support business cases and investment decisions.
• Provide insights that contribute to better decision-making.

Process improvement & data

• Improve reporting processes and financial tools.

Who are we looking for?

You are an analytical and proactive finance professional who enjoys understanding the story behind the numbers.

You bring:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
• Experience in controlling, financial analysis, audit or reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Excel; experience with ERP systems or Power BI is a plus.
• The ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
• A hands-on mindset and the confidence to work with different teams.
• Fluency in Dutch and good knowledge of English.

Experience in manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, technology or an international environment is an advantage.
