Sander Brussels, a growing fintech based in Brussels, is seeking an Accountant to strengthen its finance team in a hybrid environment. You will join a human-sized organisation of around 100 employees where Finance works closely with the wider business.

This is an interesting opportunity for an Accountant who wants to keep a strong accounting foundation while gaining broader exposure to reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong accounting fundamentals with an analytical mindset.
• Languages: French and Dutch required; English is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Prepare VAT and corporate tax declarations.
• Prepare balance sheets and interim financial statements.
• Follow up analytical accounting and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Produce financial and management reporting using Excel and Power BI.
• Participate in quarterly forecasts preparation and coordination.
• Perform variance analyses between actual results and budget.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and rolling financial planning.
• Support interim and external audits.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Team Leader and stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving accounting and finance processes.

Our partner, a growing fintech company based in Brussels, is looking for an Accountant to strengthen its finance team in a hybrid environment. Our client is an established player operating at the crossroads of technology and financial services, developing digital solutions for professionals within the insurance industry. You will join a human-sized organisation of around 100 employees where Finance works closely with the wider business. This is an interesting opportunity for an Accountant who wants to keep a strong accounting foundation while gaining broader exposure to reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Rather than being limited to day-to-day bookkeeping, you will work alongside the Accounting Team Leader and contribute directly to the company's financial reporting and planning processes. As Accountant, you will gradually take ownership of a broad accounting and financial scope:

• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
• Prepare VAT and corporate tax-related declarations
• Prepare balance sheets and interim financial statements
• Follow up analytical accounting and ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Produce financial and management reporting using Excel and Power BI
• Participate in the preparation and coordination of quarterly forecasts
• Perform variance analyses between actual results and budget
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and rolling financial planning
• Support the preparation of interim and annual external audits
• Work closely with the Accounting Team Leader and other internal stakeholders
• Contribute to improving accounting and finance processes

You have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience with closing, reporting, budgeting or controlling is an advantage, but you do not need to already be a fully-fledged controller.

Languages: You can work professionally in French and Dutch. English is considered an additional asset.

Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and combine strong accounting fundamentals with an analytical mindset.

An indicative gross salary of €3,500 - €5,000/month, depending on your experience and level of autonomy
