Sander in Brussels is seeking a Business Controller to strengthen its Finance team within the dynamic media & entertainment sector. You will closely collaborate with Finance and operational units to deliver robust financial analysis, reporting and planning.

The role offers visibility across departments, with a strong focus on business partnering, budgeting and financial performance insights to influence key business decisions. Hybrid work policy applies.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years of relevant professional experience in controlling, financial analysis, reporting, audit or a related finance position.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good working knowledge of the other national language, plus professional English.
• Higher education in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar financial field.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and consolidate financial and management reporting across departments.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to support management decisions.
• Act as a finance business partner for operational teams and challenge financial information when needed.

Our client, a major player in the media & entertainment sector in Brussels, is looking for a Business Controller to strengthen its Finance team.

Business Controller | Why apply?

You will join a Finance department of around ten professionals covering accounting and controlling. Rather than working purely behind the numbers, you will have regular exposure to management and different business units, including Sales, Marketing and other operational teams.

Business Controller | Your duties and responsibilities

As Business Controller, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and the different departments of the company. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and consolidating financial and management reporting across different departments.
• Analysing financial results, identifying trends and providing insights to support management decisions.
• Acting as a finance business partner for operational teams and challenging financial and business information when necessary.
• Participating in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
• Providing ad hoc financial analyses according to business and group requirements.
• Supporting internal and external audit processes.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools and procedures.
• Collaborating closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing and other departments to ensure reliable financial information.

Business Controller | Ideal profile

• Experience: Around 5 years of relevant professional experience in controlling, financial analysis, reporting, audit or a related finance position, with strong Excel skills.
• Languages: Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good working knowledge of the other national language, combined with professional English.
• Qualifications: Higher education in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or another relevant financial field.
