Job summary

Solis Talents seeks a Financial Controller for a family-owned group in Brussels. You will convert large financial data into actionable insights, drive budgeting and reporting, and partner with management using AI-enhanced tools to accelerate closing and decision making.

You will monitor cash flow, consolidate group entities, and support annual statements and audits while advancing internal controls and finance automation. Fluency in French and Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, finance or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in financial controlling, reporting or similar analytical finance role.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets; advanced in Excel.
• Curious about AI and automation and keen to apply them to finance processes.
• Excellent proficiency in French and Dutch (B2/C1).
• Excellent communicator translating numbers into clear messages and collaborating across departments.

Responsibilities

• Design, produce and continuously improve management reporting and KPI dashboards that support decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and present clear recommendations to management.
• Monitor cash flow and profitability so that they remain in line with the group's short- and medium-term objectives.
• Drive the consolidation of financial statements for all group entities and ensure the reliability of intra-group transactions.
• Explore and implement AI and automation solutions to streamline closing, reporting and data analysis.
• Strengthen internal controls and data quality, and optimize finance processes and tools.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and tax filings and liaise during audits.

For this family-owned group based in northern Brussels, we are currently seeking a financial controller who turns large volumes of financial data into clear insights and sound decisions.

In this varied, analytical role, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and act as a business partner to management, using modern tools and AI to make reporting faster, smarter and more forward-looking.

Financial Controller – The Role

• Design, produce and continuously improve management reporting and KPI dashboards that support decision-making

• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and tax filings (VAT, Corporate Tax Returns), and serve as the point of contact during external audits

Financial Controller – About You

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, finance or a related field
• You have at least 6 years of experience in a financial controlling, reporting or similar analytical finance role, preferably within a multi-company group
• You are strongly analytical, comfortable working with large datasets, and advanced in Excel
• You are curious about AI and automation and keen to apply them to finance processes
• Excellent proficiency in French and Dutch (B2/C1) is required
• An excellent communicator, you translate numbers into clear messages, propose constructive solutions and navigate easily between different departments

Financial Controller – The Offer

• Gross salary ranging from 5000€ to 6000€, depending on your experience
