Job summary

Walt & Spencer, Brussels-based investment holding, is seeking a Financial Controller to manage a defined portfolio of entities. You will oversee budgeting, cash flow analysis, and the full accounting cycle within a senior finance team.

You’ll drive consolidation under BE GAAP, coordinate with external advisors, and ensure VAT and tax compliance across Belgian and international entities. Fluency in English with French or Dutch is required, with 5–10 years in technical accounting and controlling.

Qualifications

• Master in finance, accountancy or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years in technical accounting and controlling.
• Fluent English plus French or Dutch; tri-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and performance monitoring with cash flow and treasury analysis for your entities.
• Contribute to the annual consolidation under BE GAAP, so entities feed into group reporting.
• Act as the go-to person for internal stakeholders and drive ad hoc analyses and improvement initiatives within finance.
• Own the full accounting cycle of your entities, from monthly closing and reporting to forecasting and statutory accounts.
• Manage intercompany transactions and transfer pricing flows across Belgian and foreign entities in your perimeter.
• Handle VAT and tax compliance, and coordinate with external advisors on audit and statutory reporting.

The group reporting deadline is tomorrow, and every entity in your perimeter is already closed, reconciled and explained. Nobody has to ask you twice. That is this role.

Our partner is a Brussels-based investment holding, active across consumer brands in multiple sectors and geographies. The group is built from Belgian and foreign holding entities, each with its own accounting cycle and compliance obligations. The finance team is agile and senior. You manage a defined portfolio of these entities and work in close collaboration with the Head of Finance.

• Budgeting and performance monitoring, with cash flow & treasury analysis for your entities
• Contribute to the annual consolidation under BE GAAP, so your entities feed straight into group reporting
• Act as the go-to person for internal stakeholders, and drive ad hoc analyses and improvement initiatives within finance
• Own the full accounting cycle of your entities, from monthly closing and reporting to forecasting and statutory accounts
• Manage intercompany transactions and transfer pricing flows across the Belgian and foreign entities in your perimeter
• Handle VAT and tax compliance, and coordinate with external advisors on audit and statutory reporting

You don't process your entities, you answer for them.
