Easi SA in Belgium is hiring a Junior Finance Controller to join the Finance team and help ensure reliable reporting and high-quality financial information across the organization. You will focus on monthly reporting, financial controls, and audit support, collaborating with Accounting and Finance teams to understand figures, identify inconsistencies, and ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related field.
• 0 to 2 years of professional experience in Finance, Controlling, Accounting or Audit. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding financial figures.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Structured, accurate and detail-oriented way of working.
• Driven and passionate, with a strong willingness to learn, grow and take ownership.
• Curious and eager to learn, with the ability to investigate discrepancies rather than simply report them.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good knowledge of the other national language or English.

Job description

As a Junior Finance Controller, you will be part of the Finance team and contribute to ensuring reliable financial reporting and high-quality financial information across the organization.

Your main focus will be on monthly reporting, financial controls and audit support. You will work closely with the Accounting and Finance teams to understand the figures behind the reporting, identify inconsistencies and ensure the accuracy of our financial data.

As you gain experience and develop your financial understanding, you will progressively take on more responsibilities in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

After a comprehensive onboarding period and becoming familiar with our organization, systems and reporting tools, you will:

Monthly Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare recurring reports, dashboards and financial analyses.
• Perform first-level variance analyses and investigate significant deviations.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data used in reporting.
• Gradually develop your understanding of the key financial and operational drivers behind the results.

Audit & Financial Controls

• Prepare and collect financial information required for internal and external audits.
• Follow up on audit requests and ensure supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
• Perform financial and accounting controls and identify potential inconsistencies.
• Work closely with the Accounting team to resolve discrepancies and improve data quality.

Accounting & Closing Support

• Support monthly and year-end closing activities for various entities within the Group.
• Review selected P&L accounts as part of the closing and reporting process.
• Develop a strong understanding of the link between accounting transactions and financial reporting.
• Help improve and automate recurring financial reports and controls.
• Contribute to the documentation and improvement of Finance processes.
• Participate in Finance projects and process optimization initiatives.
• As your experience grows, progressively contribute to budgeting, forecasting and other controlling activities..

Must-have:

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related field.
• 0 to 2 years of professional experience in Finance, Controlling, Accounting or Audit. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
