LVD Company nv is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain and repair our machines at customer sites worldwide or regionally. You will ensure peak machine performance and reliability through hands-on service and proactive maintenance.

The role requires technical degrees, CNC repair experience, a valid driver license, and willingness to travel up to 100%. You will diagnose issues, communicate with the service manager, and maintain accurate service records, while upholding

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical or automation technology.
• Experience with electronic and assembly repair and maintenance of CNC fabrication machinery equipment.
• Current, valid driver license accepted by the company.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% to provide service support to customers.

Responsabilités

As a Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing our machines at customer sites, either globally or regionally. Your expertise ensures that our customers can rely on their machines operating at peak performance.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for motivating & ensuring everyone works safely and according to the LVD QSHE standards to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient, and qualitative way.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including routine maintenance, servicing, and repair while at customer locations or while in any service support role.
• Identify and analyse technical errors, actively seeking solutions for customer needs.
• Conduct security checks on equipment.
• Document machine data, service history and quality information
• Make recommendations for changes and improvements
• Communicate with the service manager to ensure customer expectations are met and important information is passed on to the proper parties
• Maintain prompt communication of expense and, service reports, etc. on a weekly basis

Skills

• Technical skills:
  • Ability to comprehend and effectively communicate technical concepts, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, manuals, and other technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT network systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using calipers, multi-meters, oscilloscopes and other electronic and precision mechanical equipment
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, Bios, operating systems, networking and CAD/CAM experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects consistently, with the ability to handle heavier weight as necessary
• Interpersonal skills:
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others in a team
  • Keen aptitude for learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry trends
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality work

Qualifications

• Technical Degree or certification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or automation technology
• Relevant work experience with electronic and assembly repair and maintenance of CNC fabrication machinery equipment
• In possession of a current, valid driver license accepted by the company
• Willingness to travel on a very regular basis (up to 100%) to provide service support to customers
