Job summary

MetiSelect is seeking a field service engineer to act as the technical expert for customers, ensuring industrial equipment runs smoothly. You will work on-site at customer facilities across the EMEA region and at the Merchtem service center.

Approximately 40–50% of your time will involve international travel, with the remainder dedicated to technical repairs, diagnostics, and customer support at the Merchtem workshop.

Responsibilities

• Technical troubleshooting: Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues with industrial measurement equipment, electronic systems, and process control technologies.
• Installation & commissioning: Install, configure, and commission advanced technical equipment at customer sites throughout the EMEA region.
• Maintenance & repairs: Perform technical repairs, preventive maintenance, and failure analysis, both on-site and at the workshop in Merchtem.
• Customer support: Provide professional technical assistance, both remotely and in person, ensuring customers receive efficient and reliable solutions.
• Technical training: Guide customers in the correct use, maintenance, and operation of their equipment.
• Continuous improvement: Collaborate with international engineering and technical teams to identify recurring issues and contribute to product and service improvements.
• Reporting & follow-up: Document technical interventions, maintain accurate service records, and take ownership of your assigned cases from start to finish.

You’ll work both on-site at customer facilities across the EMEA region and at the technical service center in Merchtem, combining hands‑on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs with direct customer support.

Your responsibilities will include:

You’ll spend approximately 40–50% of your time travelling internationally, while the remaining time will mainly be dedicated to technical repairs, diagnostics, and support activities at the Merchtem service center.
