Job summary

MSF OCB (Operational Center Brussels) Field ICT Team seeks a Field ICT Specialist to provide 2nd/3rd line technical support across programmes. You will liaise with Infrastructure, Data and DevOps teams and external vendors to ensure incidents are resolved and ICT services remain reliable and secure.

You will help develop operational ICT tactics, mentor ICT Officers, and contribute to end-user training, documentation, and deployment of MSF and third‑party applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS or Information Systems or equivalent by experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ IT support for a diverse user community.
• Experience with MSF or NGOs is a strong asset.
• Strong troubleshooting and Windows 11 administration skills.
• Knowledge of Fortinet, LDAP, Synology, NixOS.
• Knowledge of cellular, VSAT, ADSL, WiMAX, fiber optics.
• Solid PC hardware installation and configuration abilities.
• Experience with ITSM tools and processes.
• Hands-on with OS X, Android and iOS; networking security basics.
• Analytical, adaptable, and capable of stakeholder engagement.
• English proficiency; French is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaboration with ICT Officers, Logistics staff, and front/back offices.
• Mentor ICT Officers and participate in deployment and maintenance of apps.
• Configure endpoints and deploy third‑party applications.
• Deliver ICT trainings and support end users as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and guidelines.
• Respond to user inquiries and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Support recruitment and development of ICT staff within programmes.
• Assign tickets and manage incidents, problems, and requests.
• Escalate complex issues to 3rd level support and track resolutions.
• Maintain logs of issues and resolutions; analyze support data for improvements.
• Participate in ICT ecosystem updates and configuration management.
• Prepare and execute project visits; identify fit-for-purpose solutions.
