Keystone Solutions seeks an expert Test Engineer for a consultancy mission at a client site. You will develop a test strategy for the eDossier modernization program, implement agile operational testing, and automate tests across APIs, microservices, and UI layers.

The role demands 5 years of test automation, API/UI tooling, CI/CD integration and strong communication in English plus Dutch or French; 01/12/2026 to 30/11/2027 (full time) in Belgium.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Extensive self-education in cloud-native engineering, development, and testing.
• 5 years' hands-on experience in monitoring/observability (Grafana preferred).
• 5 years' hands-on experience in test automation implementation.
• 5 years' Java SE10+ experience.
• 5 years' experience with Python/JavaScript.
• 5 years' API test frameworks/tools (BRUNO preferred).
• 5 years' UI test frameworks/tools (CYPRESS preferred).
• 5 years' regression and integration testing (JUnit/Cucumber).
• 5 years' performance, stress, load testing (JMETER/Gatling).
• 5 years' CI/CD integration of tests (Azure DevOps).
• 5 years' contract testing, mocking, service virtualization.
• 3 years' SQL databases experience.
• 5 years' agile delivery teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement a test strategy for eDossier context (cloud, APIs, zero trust, microservices).
• Create an agile operational test plan (business and technical) and automate where possible.
• Conduct functional testing to validate business logic in microservices and APIs; ensure data integrity and E2E flows.
• Perform API testing; validate contracts (OpenAPI) for functionality, performance, security, compatibility.
• Execute integration testing; simulate error scenarios to test system durability.
• Conduct security testing focusing on authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Carry out performance and scalability testing of microservices and APIs.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines for rapid DevOps feedback.
• Set up monitoring and logging across environments (dev, test, acc).
• Propose solutions and recommendations considering full context; communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Mission Overview

Keystone Solutions is seeking an expert Test Engineer for a consultancy mission at a client site. The client is a federal independent administration focused on providing protection to individuals at risk of persecution or serious harm upon return to their country of origin. This role is part of a modernization program aimed at enhancing their eDossier system.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a test strategy considering the eDossier context (cloud, APIs, zero trust, microservices, etc.).
• Create an agile operational test plan (business and technical) and implement it as automated as possible.
• Conduct functional testing, validating business logic in microservices and APIs, ensuring data integrity and E2E testing of user flows.
• Perform API testing, validating API contracts (openAPI) and testing for functionality, performance, security, and compatibility.
• Execute integration testing, simulating error scenarios to test system durability.
• Conduct security testing focusing on authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Carry out performance and scalability testing of microservices and APIs.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback in DevOps processes.
• Set up monitoring and logging for the solution across environments (dev, test, acc).

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Continuous self-education on sustainable trends and innovations, focusing on cloud-native engineering, development, and testing.
• Hands-on experience in monitoring and observability of software solutions, preferably GRAFANA (5 years).
• Hands-on experience in test automation implementation (5 years).
• Programming experience with Java SE10+ (3 years).
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) (5 years).
• Experience in setting up and executing API test frameworks and tools, preferably BRUNO (5 years).
• Experience in setting up and executing UI test frameworks and tools, preferably CYPRESS (5 years).
• Experience in regression and integration testing, preferably JUNIT and CUCUMBER (5 years).
• Experience in performance, stress, and load testing, preferably via JMETER and GATLING (5 years).
• Experience in E2E testing (5 years).
• Experience with build tools, preferably MAVEN (5 years).
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and integrating tests (preferably Azure DevOps) (5 years).
• Experience in contract testing, mocking, and service virtualization (5 years).
• Experience with SQL databases (3 years).
• Experience working within agile delivery teams (5 years).
• Ability to propose alternative solutions and recommendations considering the full context.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in API design and development is a plus.
• Experience in microservices development and integration is a plus.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design is a plus.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English and a good command of either Dutch or French is necessary due to the bilingual work environment.
