European Payments Initiative is seeking a senior Product Designer to own identity experiences for EUDI and Wero. You will translate regulatory and trust requirements into intuitive flows, prototyping key journeys and defining experience principles across product, engineering, and content design in a remote-first environment.

You will collaborate with teams across Europe, ensure accessible, secure designs, and help scale the identity ecosystem through prototyping, piloting, and rollout phases

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer in a product-led environment.
• Strong background in end-to-end product design with advanced UI design skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Ability to balance craft, speed, and pragmatism in a real-world product environment.
• Ability to maintain clear, well-structured design artifacts and documentation.
• Experience translating abstract, regulatory, and trust-based requirements into intuitive, user-centered solutions.
• Experience building to AA standard.
• Experience in payments, financial services, or fintech environments is a plus.
• Qualitative and quantitative research capabilities.
• Ability to use research insights and data to inform design decisions.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Responsabilités

• Conceive, design, and deliver implementable user interface flows to create world‑class payment and identity experiences for end users.
• Present and defend product design recommendations and Wero experience principles to senior stakeholders across EPI, member banks, and merchant teams.
• Act as a central point of contact for the EUDI European Digital Identity experience, collaborating closely with UX and Product partners to ensure solutions are fast, reliable, dynamic, and empowering.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to translate complex identity and trust requirements into clear, usable interfaces.
• Nurture mutually respectful and collaborative relationships with EPI colleagues and extended partner teams.
• Contribute to inclusive and accessible design practices across all solutions.
